15 February 2011 - Aurecon will present a paper on collaborative structural engineering and architecture at the Tall Buildings Vietnam Conference on 23 – 24 February 2011 at the Sheraton Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
“In Vietnam we face some unique technical and regulative challenges, so it is timely to bring the industry together to discuss local issues and share Aurecon’s global structural and technical experience that can be applied locally,” said Tuyen Bui, Aurecon’s Property Leader, Vietnam.
Vietnam has continued to see an increase in international investment and the construction of major projects. This economic development has played a major role in driving tall building development opportunities.
The Tall Buildings Vietnam Conference will bring together both international and local companies who have upcoming, ongoing or recently completed tall building projects to discuss trends, strategies and opportunities in the local market.
“Currently, buildings above 40 floors are uncommon in Vietnam. However, through ongoing development of the construction industry, in terms of skills and materials supply, structures up to 40 or 50 stories may become more common,” said Tuyen.
