A member of Aurecon’s Executive Committee, John is responsible for the growth, leadership and technical eminence of its Built Environment business.
John was previously the Global Chief Innovation Officer for Aurecon, responsible for the company's innovation and differentiation initiatives globally. Innovation and creativity are critical ingredients for clients to distinguish themselves in the face of increasing competition in a hyper connected world. John’s strong background in design and design thinking is helping Aurecon teams assist clients to leverage greater value for the customers they serve.
Prior to this, John was Aurecon's Global Industry Director for Manufacturing. He was directly responsible for leading Aurecon's strategy, direction, growth and sophisticated client offerings for Aurecon’s global manufacturing business.
John is an experienced business leader, with more than 25 years in consulting and contracting in Australia, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. He has been involved in a wide range of projects, specifically in health care, forensic and specialist containment laboratories and is highly regarded and recognised for his creative and innovative design approach to engineering and project leadership.
Prior to joining Aurecon in 2013, he was the Global Director (Health) – Building Systems with AECOM, where he was responsible for the growth and development of the health market sector internationally.
He is a periodic guest lecturer in building environmental design at Schools of Architecture in both the University of Western Australia and Curtin University.
